English labs in govt schools soon

Math lab also planned in 50 institutes

He was speaking after inaugurating a district-level science exhibition organised at the JSS Women’s High school on Monday. The science expo had been jointly organised by the State Education Research and Training Institute, department of public instruction and the district planning office as part of the Rashtreeya Madhyamik Shikshana Abhiyaan scheme.

The English and math lab are being opened in a bid to effectively impart the English and maths lessons to the students of class VI and class VII. The programme would be implemented in schools which has a minimum of seven teachers and has additional classrooms. “The classes aims to improve the English and mathematics skill of students. 
Based on the availability of students, tables and computers, the schedules of the batches will be decided. The classes will begin from December, he said.

On the science exhibition, he said it would also bring to fore the talent of the rural children.
