The Christmas special at this place, that is essentially an art gallery, has home made desserts prepared by sisters-in-law Sulekha and Aparna Pasricha, who make sure that every cake that passes the kitchen gets their personalised attention.

Aparna says, “Though we do have assistants but we bake the cakes and cookies in our own kitchen.” The Christmas special menu has a variety of mousses, brownies, nutty apple, cakes, cookies and even cup cakes to choose from. The mood of Christmas is reflected in the decoration of the desserts available in different shapes and flavours with Christmas colours like green, red and white.

Suchita Kapoor, a resident of Anand Lok is a lover of Christmas cakes. Suchita says, “My family celebrates Christmas and Easter more than our traditional festivals and for the special delicacies, we throng this place. Their Christmas cake is the best in town and not very strong unlike other places.”

When it comes to cupcakes, Suchita adds, “I like the blueberry muffin at this place. It has not only the extract but also the fruit in taste.”

The ‘Xmas Plum Cake’ is a pure christmas treat with dates, walnuts, almonds, and raisins soaked in brandy for six months and then mixed with spices nutmeg and cinnamon, orange and ginger peel and dried cherries to form the perfect batter for the Christmas cake finished with sugar iced Christmas tree and Santa face.

The cafe which began three months ago is celebrating its first Christmas in the City. Sulekha says, “When it comes to Christmas, the first thought is the red and green colour which is symbolic of the Christmas festival. Everything in the menu dons these colours.”

The secret of their unique ‘Red Velvet Cupcake’ is buttermilk, which goes into the preparation along with sugar, flour, coco and chocolate base.
On a regular day, the café also serves an attractive array of fresh made sandwiches, soups, bagels and croissants.
