JOIN USAlmaz Banu was married to Mohammed Ayub just two months ago. Ayub, a businessman, is a resident of Siddapura. Police said Banu’s behaviour had changed for the past two weeks and both the families suspected her to be possessed.
They were also getting her treated at various places. Banu had returned to her maternal place on the pretext of treatment and on Sunday evening, she locked herself in the bathroom and set herself ablaze. Though she was rushed to a hospital, she succumbed to burns in the wee hours of Monday.
Four injured
Four technicians were injured after a compressor exploded at a service centre near GD Mara in Mico Layout on Bannerghatta Road on Monday. Hari Krishnan, Ashwak, Karthik and Vikas are the injured.
Police said around 6.30 pm, all the technicians were engrossed in work at the cooling tech outlet that services air conditioners and refrigerators when the compressor which one of the technicians was repairing, exploded.
Though the cause of explosion is still not clear, the injured under treatment will be able to provide answers, police said. The shop manager Ashwath is being questioned.
