They will be given information in advance and asked to come and receive the cards. In a family only five members are eligible for the insurance card. If there are more people in the family, then it become their responsibility to inform about how many more cards need to be made. <br /><br />The government will insure for a sum of Rs 30,000 per year for each family. The beneficieries will not have any age limit or other restrictions. <br /><br />Any member of the family can go and get treatment in the designated hospitals. The government will pay for the treatment up to Rs 30,000.<br /><br />The government has identified 1,058 diseases and only for such diseases treatment will be provided, he said.<br /><br />To get the card done a five-member (if there are less numbers in the family, only those members) family have to come. After taking the finger prints on the computer and a few other documents, a smart card with barcode will be given immediately. </p>.<p>The consumer has to pay a fee of Rs 30 per card. Those who have got the cards are eligible to use it from January 1,2012, said the deputy commissioner.<br /><br />In the district along with the district hospital a few other private hospitals have been identified. They can get the treatment done at any time by showing the card. It is not necessary to get the treatment in the district only. <br /><br />In the government hospitals the treatments are already free. However, if the card holders get treated here, the insurance company will pay to the hospitals directly. Hence, we request the beneficieries to get treated in government hospitals, said Dr Jagadish.<br /><br />In Hassan Iffco Tokyo General Insurance company is implementing this scheme.
