World No 10 tennis player Nicolas Almagro of Spain said he is all determined to work extra hard to remain in the top 10 next season and play his best tennis.

Almagro, who will play in the Chennai Open 2011 tennis championship from January 2-8 after a gap of 13 years, said, “I need to work (on) my physical and mental strength, improve my volley and try to be regular all season.”

The 26-year-old Spaniard, who made it to the fourth round of the Australian Open in 2010 and reached a career-high ranking of 9 in May, said that he was hoping to have a great time in Chennai.

“I hope it will be a great week for me and for all the people. Many people told me that Chennai Open is really good and the city I am going to stay in is a really good one,” he said.
