BA, MA results out

Delhi University on wednesday announced results of the end semester examinations of its six BA courses and two post-graduate courses.

Results of BA (H) English, BA (H) Economics, BA (H) Political Science, BA (H) Urdu, BA (H) Arabic and BA (H) Persian were declared. Around 8,500 students appeared for above undergraduate courses. “We are working hard,” said the R C Sharma, dean of examination, Delhi University.

On Tuesday the results of Bcom courses were declared surpising everyone as the semester exams ended only three weeks back. The results of first and thrid semester of MSc Anthropolgy and MA Persian were also declared. Dinesh Singh, vice-chancellor, DU, earlier told reporters that these are the quickest results that the university has declared. It was a participatory and centralised process that involved thousands of teachers.

With the unexpectedly quick results, it is a nail-biting situation for the students.

“We were confused about the results. We never imagined that three weeks within the completion of the semester exams, the results will be declared.

We thought that the results will start pouring in after the vacation is over,”said Vishaka Jain, BA (H) English student of Maitreyi college.

The semester system, which was introduced in all the undergraduate courses this year, drew much criticism as it was expected to delay results.
