Anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare, suffering from mild influenza, will be admitted to Sancheti Hospital, in Pune on Sunday morning for a complete medical check-up.

Though the Gandhian’s  blood pressure, pulse rate and body temperature are normal, Hazare aide Shyamrao Pathade told Deccan Herald from Ralegan Siddi that the congestion in his lungs “is a worrying factor.”

Doctors from Pune’s Sancheti Hospital had come to Ralegan and carried out preliminary medical tests on Hazare.

“The doctors detected pulmonary congestion which is  a worrying factor. So the doctors advised him to get admitted in the hospital for a full-body check-up,” Pathade informed.

Before embarking on his three-day fast last week at the MMRDA ground here, Anna was reportedly down with influenza and viral fever.

According to India Against Corruption (IAC) spokesperson, “the meeting which was scheduled to be held early next week between core committee members and Hazare as of now stands cancelled.”
