Shanthi Prakashana goes online

Speaking after launching the official website of Shanthi Prakashana (www.shanthiprakashana.com) here on Tuesday, he said humane values stands on three pillars of peace, love and truth. Human values can be achieved through non violence.

He said “Islam means peace and  sacrifice. However, we find quite contrast situation in today’s world. Religion is a strength. Adversity in the religion has to be transformed to opportunity to gain peace in the world. Time and again Islam religion has been misunderstood. Several controversies in the religion are misinterpreted. It is desirable that the wonderful piece of knowledge has to be brought to the notice of common man.”
He said 1/8 of the Quran speaks of science and 1,400 verses in Quran is on management, he added.  Prof Akheel said “understanding others is the need of the hour in the country. To understand, there is a need for love truth and peace. Without these elements there can be no harmony. Moreover scientific developments are not possible without harmony in the society. Harmony is essential to live like human beings.”
Bharata Samskrity Prathishtana Chancellor Erya Laxminarayana Alva said all the religions speak of welfare of mankind.

In his introductory remarks, Shanthi Prakashana President Mohammed Kunhi said: “Islam religion is misunderstood by the people as there were no books available to know the religion. Shanthi Prakashana has published 210 works including Quran in Kannada. As many as 40,000 copies of Quran have been sold so far. Shanthi Prakashana has two mobile vans which travels across the State distributing the publications, he added.
National Computer Centre Academic Head Gita Pandith was present.
