JOIN USThe International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIIT-B) will launch a five-year integrated MTech course for students passing out of pre-university course.
The course, for which admission would commence from the 2012-13 academic year, will be offered only in Information Technology. The number of seats for the first batch would be 60.
Prof S Sadagopan, Director, IIIT-B, said students taking up integrated MTech course would also have the opportunity to take up research in the last year. The students need to submit a thesis in the end.
He said there won’t be a separate entrance examination for the course. The scores obtained in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AEEE) will be the major consideration for admission for the residential programme. The students would also be awarded a BTech certificate, he added.
