BSY defies RSS gag orders

Just a week into the gag orders by RSS leaders, former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa went to media on his chief ministerial ambitions on Tuesday.

“People of the State want me to see as a chief minister. I will occupy the position when the party leaders ask me to do so,” Yeddyurappa told reporters at Galagali in Bilagi taluk. He was in the town as part of his north Karnataka tour.

Yeddyurappa, embroiled in several cases at various courts, claimed that he had no peace of mind even for a day while in power. “People of my own party cause pinpricks for me,” he said.

Denying that the RSS leaders had asked him to put off his statewide tour plan, Yeddyurappa said he would tour all the 224 Assembly constituencies to strengthen the party and ensure BJP captures power again.
