Auto drivers seek fare hike

Auto drivers protested in the City as part of State wide Auto Drivers’ Demands Day and have put  14 major demands before the Government.

One of the major demands is increase of minimum fare to Rs 24 and fare per kilometre to Rs 12 and fixing of 33 paise as waiting charge per minute.

They demanded that nationalised banks lend loans to them on the value of their old vehicles.
