‘Vismaya Magic Foundation’ co-ordinated by Kudroli Ganesh was launched magically by Alva’s Education Foundation Chairman Dr M Mohan Alva at Mangalore Town Hall on Wednesday.

Kudroli Ganesh placed a magic wand in Alva’s hand and made him tap a empty box.

Out came garlands for the dignitaries on the dais, bouquets, lamp stand and a lit diya, marking a formal beginning of the foundation in a unique way.

“Magic is an unique art, loved by all with no age barriers. There is no language for magic. The art is existing since Vedic times,” said Dr Mohan Alva.

Highlighting the objectives of the foundation, he said that Vismaya aims to shed light on the magic performed in ancient times in India and also conduct research on various topics.

The foundation plans to hold conferences related to magic at state, national and international levels, conduct awareness programmes and social service through magic and also organise workshops for professionals and people having magic as their hobby.

“Kudroli’s approach to magic is interdisciplinary. Along with showing good tricks, he also adds a cultural touch to his performance. He has included Yakshagana, Kola in his act, making it a total entertainer,” said Mangalore University Registrar Prof Chinnappa Gowda.

MLA Ramanath Rai, Businessman Satish Baikampaddy, Mangalore Magic Circle President Swarna Sundar, MLC Captain Ganesh Karnik were present.
