A minor fire broke out in the departure lounge of Bengaluru International Airport today while some welding work was underway, but was soon doused, police said.
Labourers and other BIA employees extinguished the flames in 10 minutes.
According to Police, the fire broke out when sparks from the welding rod fell on highly inflammable thinner kept in cans near the work spot.
