Goa exporter held in Coimbatore

An exporter, wanted in connection with some cheating cases in Goa, was arrested at the city airport last night, police said today.

Sheikh Fareed, engaged in export business in Goa, had allegedly cheated many persons of crores of rupees and a case had been registered.

He was absconding for the last few months, following which an alert had been sounded at all the airports in the country. Fareed was arrested by immigration officials, when he came from Singapore around midnight.
