JOIN US‘Trichy gang’- a total of 29 accused of cash heist at a bank here have moved high court seeking bail.
Sources told Deccan Herald, the gang moved the high court in the capital following the rejection of plea by a court here. Following this, the prosecution is all set for filing objection on Monday (January 23).
The gang hailing from Trichy in neighbouring Tamil Nadu state is adept in attention diversion. They had decamped with Rs 23.5 lakh cash in Karnataka Bank, D Devaraj Urs road branch only to be caught later.
Apart from busting the case here, the CCB police had unravelled the handiwork of the gang in similar cases registered at Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra States too. Since then, the police from different stations in those states have been taking the custody of accused for interrogation.
