A primary survey has revealed that as many as 1,89,744 associations have been registered in the State. Information is now being collected from the active associations. All registered associations, are are asked to obtain an application format available at the office of the district registrar of societies and submit the completed ones within August 31.
The associations must also submit annual reports for 2007-08 and 2008-09 within one month failing which the registration will be cancelled, said a release from the sub-registrar of cooperative societies.
