Bangalore Police solve 224 cases

In last three months, the South-East police have arrested 150 criminals involved in 224 cases and recovered stolen articles worth over Rs six crore, City Police Commissioner Jyothi Prakash Mirji said today.

As many as eight robberies, 20 chain snatching, two dacoities, 30 thefts and 30 House-Break-Theft cases were solved, he told reporters here.

The stolen articles recovered include 115 gold chains, three necklaces, 111 ear-rings, one diamond ear-ring, 14 bracelets, 72 rings and 58 pairs of gold bangles, Mirji stated.

Police also recovered 91 two-wheelers, 13 cars, 5 autorickshaws, 569 laptops, 23 LCDs, 90 Mobile Phones, 340 grams of charas, 860 garment clothes, 25 kg sandalwood, 22 kg silver articles, electronic equipments and a cash of Rs 69.71 lakhs, he said.
