MLA H D Revanna categorically stated that JD(S) wouldn’t tie-up with BJP in the upcoming polls to the post of president of zilla panchayat.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the Suttur Jathra on Monday, he said the decision to tie-up with BJP was made by leaders at the local-level. For the next term, the party has decided to stay away from the BJP.  “There is no question of coalition in the next term,” he added. Commenting on the governor’s decision to reject the name of Justice S R Bannurmath as Lokayukta, he said. “Is there nobody else? Why is the government afraid of suggesting another name?” he questioned.

Replying to another query on the BJP government, he said, “Sullu helkondu yestu dina rajakiya madthare? (How long will they be in politics telling lies)”

Mentioning that the state government had failed to address the issues of farmers, he said ryots are now suffering due to crash in prices of ginger and turmeric.
