Disciplinary action was taken against around 100 Tihar officials for offences they committed while performing duty. “We have no tolerance policy for any negligence while performing duties,” said Neeraj Kumar, director general (prison).
He said last year 34 officials were suspended after they were found guilty of malpractices and disciplinary action was taken against 67 officials.
Kumar added that any kind of malpractices within the jail premises are unacceptable and stringent action has been taken against them.
