Murder case key witness shot dead

A 43-year-old man, who was a prime witnesses to his nephew’s murder case at a court in Haryana, was shot dead at Narela in outer Delhi on Wednesday morning, police said.


Suresh, a resident of Narela, might have been shot by miscreants, who were involved in his nephew’s murder last year, the police added.


Suresh owned a travel company and a tourist bus. He was sitting at the driver seat in his bus near Raja Harish Chand Hospital at Narela at around 9 am when two persons came and shot two bullets at him, the police said.


He was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. He received one bullet on his neck and another on the head, they added.


Suresh had identified three people who killed his nephew. Two of them were nabbed and a trail in the case was on in Haryana, a senior police officer said.


“The third accused might have shot Suresh along with other accomplice,” the officer added.
