Bangalore Bio to discuss country's future in BT

The 12th edition of the annual biotech event ‘Bangalore India Bio’ will be held in Bangalore from February 6 to 8.

Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Ghulam Nabi Azad will inaugurate the event.
The focal theme this year will be ‘India: The Emerging Bioeconomy.’

Ron Somers, President, United States India Business Council (USIBC), will lead a 15-member delegation. More than 20 countries are expected to participate. The event will feature a Multi-Track Conference, International Trade Show, India's Biotech Vision 2015 Leadership Series, BioPartnering India, podium presentations, poster session, CEO conclave, bio excellence awards and BioQuiz.

Topics

Sessions on frontier and future areas of stem cells and regenerative medicines, companion diagnostics, next generation genomics, transformational technologies like high performance computing, synthetic biology and mobile healthcare will be held.

More than 80 exhibitors from the best of R&D Institutes, private biotech companies from various biotech verticals across India will participate. The annual bio-excellence awards will be presented to top performers in biotechnology in various categories.
