'No question of expelling former ministers'

BJP State president K S Eshwarappa has categorically stated that there was no question of disqualifying the three former ministers Lakshman Savadi, C C Patil and Krishna Palemar from Legislative Assembly membership or expelling them from the party.

Eshwarappa was speaking to mediapersons after participating in the Kotilingeshwara Pratishatapana function organised at Siddaganga Mutt in Tumkur on Thursday.

Taking a dig at the Opposition, he said that the political parties had launched a tirade against the government and the party cashing in on the incident. Eshwarappa termed the incident unfortunate. Reacting angrily to the queries, Eshwarappa said that the House Committee would probe the scandal.

He added that he would answer their (mediapersons) questions only after Committee submits its report. He said that a meeting of the Core Committee of the party would be called soon to take a decision on Cabinet expansion, he added.
