Opposition Congress leader in the Karnataka Legislative Council Motamma today slammed the BJP government for curtailing the legislature session to save itself from the embarrassment caused by the porn scandal involving three ministers who were caught viewing obscene clipping during proceedings in the House.

"BJP is in the habit of curtailing the session of legislatures. They are trying to run away from their responsibility just to wriggle out of the situation", she alleged at a press meet objecting to the abrupt adjourning of the House sine die yesterday, a day ahead of its schedule.

The state assembly was adjourned sine die on Feb eight.

Motamma rejected Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda's allegation that Congress was engaged in cheap politics on the scandal.

"As an opposition party, we are doing our duty.Should we not raise these issues? we never expected such a remark by Gowda....", she said.

Following public and Opposition outcry, BJP had asked Laxman Savadi, C C Patil and Krishna Palemar to step down as ministers on February 8.
