A case of violation of the model code of conduct was registered against Union Minister Salman Khurshid’s wife Louis Khurshid, the Congress nominee from Farrukhabad Assembly seat, on Friday.
The case was registered after it was found that the Congress nominee had not obtained prior permission for the road shows featuring big names in Bollywood including Sanjay Dutt and Raj Babbar, held at Farrukhabad on Thursday, sources here said.
According to sources, the FIR has been lodged in Sadar Kotwali against Louis under Section 171(H) of the Election Model Code of Conduct.
Louis had not taken prior permission for using the vehicles for the road shows.
