JOIN USAn unbeaten century by N Manoj (104 n.o., 15x4, 3x6) and a five-wicket haul by Abhilash helped Vidya Vardhaka First Grade College score a facile 137-run win over Basudeva Somani FGC, Mysore in the Dell-KSCA inter-collegiate knockout cricket at the Maharaja’s College grounds on Friday.
Batting first, Vidya Vardhaka put on a healthy 260/5 in 30 overs, riding on the efforts from Manoj and skipper N Ganesh’s well-scripted half-century. Karthik, who scalped two wickets, was the pick of the bowlers for Basudeva Somani FGC.
In reply to the steep task at hand, Basudeva Somani were bowled out for a mere 123 in 24.3 overs as Abhilash bagged five wickets and Bharath rattled three for Vidya Vardhaka.
