Forces beyond control

Odd ones out
Watch ‘Oddities’ on Discovery Science on February 21 at 8 pm. On the lookout for a book bound with human skin? Or some fancy fossil dinosaur faces as one’s drawing room centrepiece? If yes, then ‘Oddities’ is where one needs to be looking.

The programme gets you all the eccentric ware and even more weird people who visit such a store.  So tune in for your encounter with the strange, bizarre but eerily real interests of people and the shops that cater to them.

Comfortable stay
From various themes like lost paradises, designer and boutique hotels, palaces of the jet set, African lodges and quirky getaways, Discovery HD World presents ‘Hotels’ which reveals some of the most breathtaking hotels in the world with the most exotic locations.

So if one is ready to experience some luxury, tune in to this fascinating episode as it spells luxury. ‘Hotels’ airs on February 21 at 10 pm.

Food encounters
TLC presents ‘Glutton For Punishment’ on February 21 at 10 pm. If you believe food is one of the best things in your life, especially copious amounts of it, this programme is for you. In this wonderful new season, food adventurer Bob Blumer is going for the jackpot — trying to break the ‘Guinness Book of World Records’.

Tune in if you are ready for the challenges but be warned it’s no mean task — whether it’s breaking 2000 eggs in one hour or making over a hundred Caesar salads in the same amount of time. You will be at the edge of your seat as Bob tries to peel over 50 pounds of onions in just three minutes. Can he rise up to the tasks?

Too much to handle
Eijaz Khan recently got mobbed while shooting for his new show — Shubh Vivaah. The show is set in Agra and Vrindavan. Eijaz was shooting in Agra for the show along with co-stars Neha Janpandit and Rakesh Bedi. Apparently, the actor has a massive fan following in Uttar Pradesh thanks to his last release ‘Tanu Weds Manu’.

His immense popularity in Agra became a big hurdle during the shoot. Apparently, the minute he stepped out of his vanity van, he was mobbed by hundreds of fans who refused to leave without getting clicked with him.

Eijaz was left with no option than to oblige to their requests. This whole episode even brought the shoot to a standstill for three hours. Neither the production crew nor
Eijaz expected such a massive welcome and were taken by surprise.

Shubh Vivaah goes on air on February 27 at 7.30 pm on Sony Entertainment Television.
