JOIN USUnable to bear the death of his wife due to postpartum complications, a man committed suicide by hanging himself, orphaning his four-day-old son.
Kiran, 34, was found hanging at his house in Tilak Nagar on Monday. Police said Kiran had a transport business and was doing well. Neighbours, who were shocked to hear the news, said the couple had a happy marriage and were well to do.
In another incident, an epilepsy patient’s body was found in the stormwater drain near Sarakki in JP Nagar locality.
Police said that passersby had noticed Chethan Kumar, 35, sitting on the retaining wall of the stormwater drain at around 7.30 pm. They suspect that he might have had a seizure, slipped into the drain and drowned. Passersby noticed the body in the morning and alerted the police.
