JOIN USUnable to make the payments of her debts, a married woman, in her mid-30s, committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan, police said on Wednesday.
Pooja Kapoor, mother of two sons, was found hanging around 8.30 am on Wednesday inside her Vikash Nagar's residence in west Delhi's Ranhola area. One of her family members found her body in her bedroom.
Her husband, Rajesh Kapoor, a taxi driver, told police that she seemed upset over some financial issue on Tuesday night.
Police have recovered a suicide note from the spot. “She took the extreme step as she was debt-ridden and not in a position to pay it off,” said a police officer, quoting her suicide note.
“Investigation in to the case is on and her post-mortem report is awaited,” added the officer.
