Fiat 2012 Linea, Punto in B'lore

 Fiat India Automobiles Limited, on Friday, showcased the next generation 2012 models of its sedan Linea and hatch-back Punto in Bangalore.

A fundamental difference in the versions is the engine. The new Linea comes with 1.3 Advanced Multijet Diesel and 1.4 Fire Petrol engines. The Punto with the 1.2 Fire Petrol, 1.4 Fire Petrol and the 1.3 Multijet Diesel engines.

The cars are priced in the range of: Punto — Rs 4.89 Lakh to Rs 6.81 lakh; Linea — Rs 6.91 lakh to Rs 9.30 lakh (ex-showroom Bangalore), and available in four colours, besides, ‘Oceanic Blue’. Both cars boast of a series of changes in specifications and interiors.

The Linea, across all its variants of Active, Dynamic and Emotion, comes with an integrated audio system from the base variant (Active), and Auto AC, ABS with EBD, alloy wheels, airbags and ‘Blue and Me’ infotainment system starting from mid-variant (Dynamic) onwards. The features also include rain sensors and auto switch on/off head lamps.

The Punto has undergone similar stylised changes across all its variants (Active, Dynamic and Emotion) coming with integrated audio system and central locking system along with front power windows on its Active variant.

Fiat India Senior Vice-President (Corporate Commercial) Enrico Atanasio said “With the launch of 2012 Linea and Punto, our customers can enjoy an experience which is delightful and uniquely Fiat.”
