Pluck and luck power Kendriya Vidyalaya to victory

Riding on Rohith Tripathi’s unbeaten 130 and Akshay Sharma’s 87, Kendriya Vidyalaya piled on 434 for eight in 50 overs. Besides Rohith and Sharma, Utkarsh chipped in with a useful 54. EIS were nine without loss in 1.5 overs when rain cried halt to the proceedings. Consequently the result was decided through toss, which Kendriya Vidyalaya won.

Florence Public School: 162 all out in 41.3 overs (Jayanth 29, Shantanu 45; Kiran 5-21) bt Sri Aurobindomandir School: 59/2 in 14 overs (Dhanukumar 39 n.o.; Uttam 2-21). Due to rain, Florence won the match by a spin of coin.
