German luxury sports carmaker Porsche said it will recall 483 cars in India as part of its global exercise to fix faulty headlight in one lakh units of the Cayenne model. “Number of cars affected in India are 483,” it added.

Last week the company had announced a global recall of current 2011 and 2012 Cayenne models to rework on the headlight locking system. “In-house quality investigations revealed that in rare cases an incorrectly locked head-light module can become detached,” the company had said.

Approximately 1,00,000 units of the Cayenne model line are being reworked. The company further said the workshop job takes approximately 45 minutes and is free of charge for the customer.
