School staff to fast on teachers' day

 
“It is a non-violent protest propagated by Gandhiji. We will work on that day simultaneously observing fast,” stated the district unit of Akhila Bharat Navodaya Vidyalaya Employees Association in a release.

“The Navodaya Vidyalayas coming under the Union HRD Ministry impart free and quality education to the rural and backward children,” release said and added that  there is no security for the future of the employees.

“We will not get pension. Even those in the aided private schools have such facilities but we don’t,” it read.
