CDAC’s MBA programme

CDAC is inviting applications for its MBA programme in Software Enterprise Management. The two-year full time Business Management programme is run in affiliation with GGSIP University, Delhi. It aims at transforming technical graduates to business professionals, by imparting knowledge for optimum utilisation of ERP and other IT tools in business.

The criteria for admission is B.E, B.Tech or M.Sc. (CS/IT/Electronics) or MCA. Candidates should have scored a minimum of 60% in the last qualifying degree. Students meeting the eligibility criteria may appear in CET (Test Code 117) to be held on May 19, 2012 conducted by GGSIP University, Delhi.

Scotland Saltire Scholarships

In addition to the institutional scholarships, the Scottish Government has now announced the opening of the Scotland Saltire Scholarships. There are 200 scholarships available, and they are now open to students at UG and PGR level; previously they were only open to PGT students. Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships are now live and open for applications on the Talent Scotland website:

Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships (SSS) is a substantial programme of scholarships, offered on a matched funding basis between the Government and Scottish Higher Education Institutions. The scheme offers up to 200 awards, each worth £2000.

These are towards the tuition fees, for any one year of study, on an Undergraduate, Masters or PhD course at any of Scotland’s higher education institutions.

The scholarships are designed to support the promotion of Scotland as a learning nation and a science nation and are therefore targeted at the priority sectors of creative industries, life sciences, technology, financial services and renewable and clean energy (find out what study options are available). The deadline for applications for the 2012/13 scholarships is June 1, 2012.

International scholarships

The Lloyd’s Register Educational Trust has awarded £281,000 to the University of Glasgow to fund scholarships for postgraduate Masters Students in the College of Science & Engineering.

This donation will fund either six international students or up to 17 UK/EU students each year for three years beginning in the academic year 2012/13.

The Lloyd’s Register Educational Trust (The LRET) scholarships will be available to students taking postgraduate programmes in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, geoinformation technology and cartography, science for international development and environmental statistics.

The Lloyd’s Register Educational Trust (The LRET) is an independent charity working to achieve advances in transportation, science, engineering and technology education, training and research worldwide for the benefit of all.

All applicants to these postgraduate programmes who meet the eligibility criteria will be considered for The LRET scholarships.
