‘Visual Essays’

Gallery Time and Space is presenting ‘Parables – Visual Essays’, an exhibition of recent works by Moutushi Chakraborti, from March 1 to 5, 11 am to 7 pm at No. 55, Lavelle Road.

Meticulous and detailed drawing forms the basis of both her printmaking and painting.

Galleryske is holding a solo show by Austrian artist Eva Schlegel till March 17.

Group effort

‘The New Romantics’, a group show featuring 32 artists, will be held at Kynkyny Art on Infantry Road. It is a an exploration of post-modern love, desire and belonging. It will be held till March 9 and celebrates the poignant world of human relationships.

This exhibition brings together an unprecedented line-up of exciting artists, including S G Vasudev, Doddamani, JMS Mani, Basuki Dasgupta, G Subramanian, Rajesh Salgaonkar, Sumana Chowdhury, Sachin Jaltare, Jasu Rawal, Sultana Hassan, Ganapati Hegde, Dhrubajyoti Baral, Elayaraja, Biswajit Mondal, Yolanda D’souza, Yuvan Bothi Sathuvar, Jyoti Hattarki, Minal Shah, Mandira Naidoo etc.

A photography exhibition by Norman Parkinson called ‘Pink is the Navy Blue of India’ will be held at Tasveer Gallery at Sua House, 26/1, Kasturba Cross Road, (near the British Library) till March 20, 10 am to 7 pm. Parkinson’s work is an unrivalled 20th century photographic portfolio. He was an incisive portraitist and photographed many of the greatest icons of the 20th century as well as some of the world’s most beautiful women.


‘Hanging the Walls’, a solo exhibition of paintings by Sachidananda K J, will be held from March 8 to 28, 10.30 am to 6 pm. Sachidananda’s works are based on living spaces, their role and influence on people and their lives.
