Exploring opportunities

Says Radhika Pandit, who has many interesting projects in her kitty.

Radhika Pandit has just returned after shooting in Singapore and barely has time to rest before she begins work again.

But she doesn’t sound a wee bit stressed and isn’t complaining about her rather tight schedule.

After four years in the film industry and a couple of good awards, Radhika says that she can't ask for more.

“But every actor is selfish and is never satisfied. I want to do more quality films and exploit the actor in me. I have just begun and have a long way to go,” she says.

Radhika is neither seen at events in the City nor does she strike a pose for P3 photographers. However, she was quite taken aback when she saw reports of her possible marriage plans with a popular co-star in one of the publications recently.
“It's ridiculous. Marriage is the last thing on my mind and there will be nothing until I am settled in my career,” she asserts.

Talking about her latest venture, Sagar, which is a multi-starrer, Radhika says she’s pretty excited about the way the movie has been shaping up.

The movie has its fair share of romance, drama and comedy — all in the right doses. Asked if she felt inadequate working in a multi-starrer she says, “My first film Moggina Manasu was a multi-starrer. Why should I feel insecure when I have proved my mettle as an actress? The script is important, all  other things take a backseat.”

What’s more? Radhika will release the audio of her next film, ‘Breaking News’ on her birthday on March 7.

“I play the daughter of a politician, a rich, spoilt brat. The role is interesting and is quite unlike my earlier roles,” she adds.

Radhika has been getting a steady stream of offers from Tamil and Telugu film industries but she confesses that she’s reluctant to cross over just yet.

She is open to exploring the other languages but is keen on staying back in the Kannada film industry for a while.

“I’ve my hands full at the moment and can’t squeeze in more projects,” she signs off.
