Bomb scare in Balasore rail station

Panic gripped Balasore railway station as a bomb like object was found near a gate of the station here today, RPF sources said.

RPF personnel cordoned off the area and, in an hour long operation, removed the object from the spot to a safe place.

Later bomb disposal squad members examined the object and said there was no danger from it, the sources said.

However, it was still not clear what actually the object was.
