Congress will tomorrow observe a bandh in Madhya Pradesh demanding a CBI probe into the murder of IPS officer Narendra Kumar Singh, allegedly by a mining mafia member in Morena district.

"We have made elaborate arrangements for making the bandh successful by taking meeting of the party workers. All the district unit chiefs have also taken meetings in their respective districts in this regard and issued necessary instructions to the partymen," MPCC Media Committee Chairman, Manak Agrawal told PTI here today.

The call for bandh was given by the state unit Congress president Kantilal Bhuria and Opposition Leader Ajay Singh.

Besides a CBI probe, the Congress also wants rollback of five percent VAT imposed on power, sugar and cloth in the state.

Agarwal, however, said that health, education and transport services will be spared from the bandh which will be observed till 3 PM in the entire state.

The Congress Legislature Party will also raise the issue vociferously in the Legislative Assembly tomorrow during the ongoing Budget Session when it reconvenes after break.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan government has already ordered a judicial probe into the killing of the 30-year-old officer who was mowed down by a tractor-trolley allegedly laden with illegally mined stones at Banmore town on March 8.
