Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda has urged the electorates of Udupi-Chikmagalur to vote for BJP if they wanted honest and clean politics.

“I have decided to give clean politics, free from corruption and favouritism. I will do my duty in a way as to restore the faith of the people. Voters should support BJP for all the good work done by the party,” he said addressing a public meet organised at Kudlur in Tarikere on Tuesday.

He said that during the last Parliamentary elections, voters of Tarikere had given boost to the party.

“The votes from this region gave me the post of the CM today,” he said adding that the BJP will win the election with huge margin, thereby changing the face of national politics.

“Congress rule in the centre is against the tradition and beliefs of the nation. As a result of this, Congress is losing grounds in state, one after the other,” he said criticizing Congress for not acting stern on the terrorists who have been arrested.

He said that any party which comes to power should do the work of the people and after six decades BJP had to come to power to tell people that there is a party which cares for them.

“It was B S Yeddyurappa who responded to the problems of the farmers immediately after coming to power. He provided loan to farmers at one per cent interest. This is the kind of politics India needs today,” he said adding that BJP has chalked out programmes for the farmers because the party firmly believes that it is the farmers who feed the nation in true sense.

He said that BJP government has introduced Citizens Services Guarantee programme in four districts on pilot basis.

“The programme will be implemented across the state from April 2 onwards. This will prevent the people from running from pillar to post to get various Government benefits,” he said.

MLA D S Suresh said that BJP will go to people keeping forth various developmental work done by them.

Before the public meet, CM and minister for textile Marthur Prakash took part in a road show.
