Porn website hacked, 72,000 usernames stolen

A pornographic website -- reportedly one of the world's top five -- was hacked and passwords of 72,000 users and credit card details of 40,000 others were stolen, a media report said Wednesday.

The website, "Digital Playground", was hacked by a group that calls itself "The Consortium", the Daily Mail reported.

The hackers, reportedly affiliated with popular group Anonymous, said it will not publish the data"We do this for the love of the game, not for profit. We will not be releasing or using this data - these people's only crime was wanting some porn," the group said in a public post.

Digital Playground is a pornographic movie studio in California.

The hacker group said the credit card details were all stored in plain text, rather than in encrypted form, a serious security failure that could leave users of the pornographic website open to other attacks.
