CID ACP's son roughed up for eve teasing in bar

Assistant Commissioner of CID Siddramappa’s son, who allegedly teased women under the influence of alcohol at a bar, was roughed up by the restaurant staff on Residency Road on Saturday evening.

Ashik Gowda, 25, along with his four friends walked into  the bar, Phase III, on Residency Road around 3.30 pm.

Gowda is student of a City college.  Minutes after they began drinking, they allegedly started teasing a group of women  at the bar.

When the bar staff requested them not to do so, Gowda allegedly threatened them with dire consequences and continued with the teasing.

The staff approached the manager Aslam Pasha. All the five left the bar after Pasha intervened. However, they came back around 5.30 pm and tried to create havoc. Pasha got furious and attacked the eve teasers.

While Gowda sustained injuries, his friends escaped, said Ashok Nagar Police Inspector Jagadish.

Based on Gowda’s complaint, the police arrested Pasha. Three others Rajanna, Prakash and Santhosh are
absconding.
