Two killed in separate accidents

Two persons including a software engineer, were killed in separate accidents, since Friday.

A six-year-old child was mowed down by a tipper lorry at Bettadasapura in Electronics City traffic limits on Friday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Krishna. His father Ambarish, a labourer from Koppal, worked at a stone quarrying site at Bettadasapura and his family stayed in a makeshift shelter near the site.

Ambarish had left his son in the care of his relative. The driver of the tipper lorry, while trying to reverse the vehicle, ran over the boy. Police seized the lorry and have launched a hunt for the driver.

Techie killed

A techie was killed in an accident near Bommanahalli bus stop on Friday after he was knocked down by a car. The police identified the deceased as Sohail Ajeem, 30, a resident of Bismillahnagar.

He hailed from Warangal in Andhra Pradesh and was a staffer at a private firm in Whitefield. The accident took place at around 3:15 pm when he was moving towards Electronics City on his two-wheeler. A speeding car rammed into his vehicle from behind.

He fell down and came under the front wheel of the car. The police arrested the car driver.
