MCD official in dock over irregularities

Delhi residents, it seems, are rearing cattle at the most impossible of places – like the 15th floor of a building – if one goes by a senior municipal official who is charged with irregularities in allotting dairy plots.

MCD Veterinary Officer Dr S K Yadav, who allegedly allotted the plots in Ghogha Dairy Colony Project to the undeserving, is now in the dock after the Delhi Police registered a case last Thursday following directions from the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).
Yadav could not be contacted for his reaction.

The complaint to police came after CVC concluded that there was documentary evidence to corroborate allegations against Yadav.

The CVC found that the evidence against him was not "seriously appreciated" by the Anti-Corruption Bureau, which looked into the case earlier.
