She’s the diva!

The stage was set, emotions tense and there was palpable excitement in the air as Big CBS Love announced the winner of the first season of ‘India’s Glam Diva’ — it was none other than the Bollywood siren Priyanka Chopra.

‘India’s Glam Diva’ saw the coming together of women who have created a mark for themselves in the fields of Bollywood, television, sports, corporate and more. The judges for the show were some of the eminent gurus of the industry – Shiamak Davar, Shaina NC and Rajeev Masand. However, she was crowned as ‘India’s Glam Diva’ on the basis of the votes of the audience.

In keeping with the selection procedure, Priyanka Chopra was crowned by none other than her biggest fan and an avid viewer of the channel — Siddhi Singh, a competitive and independent Mumbai girl.

Competition was stiff and fans from across the metros voted in high numbers ensuring their favourite diva stayed above the rest. Priyanka competed with the who’s who of the industry like Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Vidya Balan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Sonam Kapoor, Sunidhi Chauhan, Bipasha Basu, Ekta Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Sania Mirza, Freida Pinto and Shruti Hassan.

The final competition was between her and Vidya Balan. Priyanka will now be seen at her best during the finale episode where she will share her ambitions and desires as an actress and woman.

Priyanka has been extremely successful with her movie picks and hasn’t given the critics much to complain about. Right from her role in Andaz for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut in 2003 to ‘Fashion’ for which she received a  National Award, she has enthralled one and all with her mind-blowing performances.

“She wants to be number one. She wants to conquer the world. She wants to make it big not only in India but globally — which is great. That’s ‘India’s Glam Diva’ for you,” said Shiamak Davar. Catch the finale of ‘India’s Glam Diva’ on March 25 at 9 pm.
