JOIN USThe second prize has been awarded to S L Sheshadri of the Government Higher Primary School in Seepuru and K Sudha of Maliyappanahalli School. The first prize includes Rs 1,000 and the second prize Rs 500 for each winner.
The teachers will be awarded prizes during a function soon, said the Kannada Sahitya Parishat district unit president K Prahladarao.
Consolation prizes, which comprises Rs 250 for each winner, are won by Narasimhappa Honnasetty, Alavatta Government Composite High School in Srinivaspur taluk; M Gayatribai of Narasapur school; S B Gouri of Karanjikatte AES Public School, P Nagarathna of Pettandlahalli School, T S Satyanarayana of Mindahalli School, M Somanna of Medihala-Kolaganjenahalli School.
M V Subrahmanya, Principal, Gupta College; Umadevi, Principal, Shankar Vidyalaya; Journalist K Narasimhamurty and Srivani of Vanita Maitri Institute were judges for the essay competition, revealed Prahlad Rao.
