Certificate course in astronomy

MP Birla Institute of Fundamental Research, Bangalore is conducting a 100-hour certificate course in astronomy and astrophysics for undergraduate and post graduate students from September to December 2009. Topics covered include the study of the sun, solar system, stars, milky way and other galaxies, space astronomy, radio astronomy, astrobiology and cosmology. The course is open to students of B.Sc and M.Sc, preferably with physics as their main subject. Engineering students (B.E/ B.Tech) will also be considered for admission.
