Contract killer

Bangkok Dangerous’ airs on HBO on April 19 at 11.10 pm. The movie stars Nicolas Cage, Shahkrit Yamnarm, Charlie Yeung, Chakrit Yamnam, Panward Hemmanee and Nirattisai Kaljaruek.

The life of an anonymous killer takes an unexpected turn when he travels to Thailand to complete a series of contract killings. Joe, a remorseless hitman, is in Bangkok to execute four enemies who work for a ruthless boss named Surat.

Joe hires Kong, a street punk who pickpockets, to run errands for him with the intention of covering his own tracks by killing Kong at the end of the assignment. However Joe, the ultimate lone wolf, finds himself mentoring the young man instead, while simultaneously being drawn into a tentative romance with a local shop girl. As he falls further under the sway of Bangkok’s intoxicating beauty, Joe begins to question his lonely existence and lets his guard down just as Surat decides it’s time Joe gets the job done.

Aiming for the sky

Sumit Kaul, better known as the scheming Sudarshan of Laagi Tujhse Lagan on Colors channel, is a multi-faceted artiste. With a degree in masters in international business, Sumit could have received a great position in a corporate and drawn a huge salary.

However, Sumit did a course in English speech and drama from the Trinity College of London and started off by doing voiceovers for the programmes of Discovery Channel in Urdu, Hindi and English.

Sumit is currently the narrator of Feast Bazaar on TLC and has dubbed for the DVD versions of Kung Fu Panda and ‘Wolfman’. He is also associated with Nadira Babbar’s Ekjut theatre group and has done several plays.

Sumit who has many prominent ads to his credit, made his foray into films with a parallel lead in Ashok Pandit’s Sheen followed by Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rockstar’.

Though his film Bumboo did not do well at the box office, he has been highly
upbeat about his role in the film based on the French movie L’emmerdeur by Francis Veber and adapted into Hindi by Jagdish Rajpurohit and Kavin Dave.

Time for divorce

Watch Balika Vadhu on April 19 at 8 pm on Colors. Bhairon meets a lawyer in Jaipur to discuss Anandi and Jagya’s divorce.

While Anandi is in school, Bhairon informs the family about his meeting with the lawyer and shows them the divorce papers. The whole family is worried about asking Anandi to sign them. Slowly, Kalyani asks Anandi to sign the divorce papers. To everyone’s surprise, Anandi signs them and walks off. What happens next? Tune in to find out.

A ghost player

Zee Studio presents ‘The Sixth Man’ on April 19 at 11 pm. The movie stars Marlon Wayans, Kadeem Hardison and David Paymer. Antoine and Kenny Tyler are NCAA college basketball players and Antoine is the star.

But when he suddenly dies of a heart attack, Kenny has to step into his shoes as the leader of the team. Soon, Antoine returns as a ghost and helps Kenny in his game and life. But Kenny changes in the process and doesn’t quite like it.
