Teachers fast on their day in Balehonnur

The teachers and other staff, who joined before 2004, at the Navodaya School at Seegodu near here were fighting for pension scheme for the past 20 years. But the government had not responded to their demands. Teachers pointed out that those who are working in Kendriya Vidyalaya and Sainik Schools are getting the benefits of pension scheme. However, the same was not extended to them.

Principal M Chidanand and Teachers Union secretary Rajashekhar Rathod spoke on the occasion. A memorandum was submitted to Hyderabad Navodaya Schools chief V Nageshwar Rao.
