Bollywood wishes Zohra Sehgal on turning 100

As legendary actress Zohra Sehgal turned 100 today, Bollywood took to twitter to wish the grand old lady of Indian Cinema a very happy birthday.

"Zohra Sehgal the legendary actress turns 100 today. She is the symbol of Indian Cinema completing 100 years. Happy Birthday grand lady," tweeted actor Anupam Kher.

Shabana Azmi said, "Zohra Aapa you are an inspiration to all of us. Saalgirah Mubarak aur behad ehtram ke saath salaam aapki zindadili ko (A very Happy Birthday and I salute your zest for life)."

Author Salman Rushdie tweeted, "The eminent Indian actress Zohra Sehgal is 100 years young! Congrats to my Zohra Khala! Much love from New York."

Filmmaker Karan Johar posted on the micro-blogging site, "Zohra Sehgal turns 100 today; just one word to describe the grand young lady, wow!"

Actor Ranvir Shorey said, "Happy Birthday, Zohra Sehgal! Shine on!", which was retweeted by Anurag Kashyap.

Actress Dia Mirza said, "100th Birthday of the Grand Lady of Indian theatre and cinema Zohra Sehgal! What a journey!!! And what a Lady! Salute Happy Birthday Zohraji."

A book on Zohra, written by her daughter Kiran Sehgal is to be launched at the Capital today and Dia said that she would be getting her copy soon.

"Zohra Sehgal's daughter has written her mother's biography. A glimpse at images spanning over 75 years and I'm awestruck! Must get my copy today," she added.

"Happy 100th birthday to Zohra Sehgal, many more to come!" wrote Tusshar Kapoor.

Vivek Oberoi tweeted, "Happy birthday to the wonderful actress whose smile & grace has lit our screens for over 60 years, Zohra Sehgal celebrating her 100th birthday today!"

Zohra, whose wit and zest has been on display in theatre and films alike, starred in films like "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam", "Dil Se" and "Cheeni Kum". She was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Sawariyaa" (2007).
