Wash hands, prevent infection


 This study conducted by Global Hygiene Council has exposed Indian hygiene conscious levels in the society at the time where global pandemic Influenza A (H1N1) is present in the community.

The Global Hygiene Council along with Reckitt Banckiser stressed on the importance of hand washing and has recommended that hand hygiene is the first line of defence against flu and viral infections at a press meet on Thursday.
Dr Narendra Saini, Indian representative of Global Hygiene Council demonstrated  methods of hand washing and said “Indians do not washhands frequently, there is a huge task of educating people about the importance of hand-washing,” he said.

* Wet hands, apply soap, rub palms together
* Rub each palm over the back of the other hand
* Rub between your fingers on each hand
* Rub backs of fingers
* Rub around each of your thumbs
* Rub both palms with finger tips. Rinse and dry hands
