Umashree escapes unhurt in mishap

The accident occurred when Umashree’s car was following two private buses on the way to Bangalore.

Near Kanimenake cross, when one of the private buses suddenly applied the brakes, the second bus following it also came to a screeching halt slightly touching the first bus. Though Umashree’s driver applied brakes, the vehicle hit the second bus.
The front portion of the car was partially damaged.

Minor injuries
A few passengers in both buses sustained minor injuries.
Later speaking at a felicitation function Umashree said in a lighter tone: “I think I still need to contribute a lot to the film industry. That is the reason I escaped unhurt from the accident.”
